Mauritius is surely a photogenic beach destination and one of the favorite places in the world for spending a honeymoon. But did you know that this island is also home to many modern-day golf courses? Extremely well-equipped and delightfully green, these golf courses are simply impeccable in their design. Many tourists opt for tourism Mauritius primarily to enjoy a free swing in its green-brown corners.

Yes yes, we understand that you may not be very familiar with the rules of golf! In fact, we are sure that many of you (including you, yes ‘you’) haven’t even held a golf bat (or whatever it is called) in your hand! But, one does not need to be a professional to have a go at these heavenly courses. So, instead of grumbling about your technical inadequacy, just let your hair down and drive on to some of these destinations sketched below:

a. Le Paradis Golf Club: If you are an amateur or a first-timer, then we recommend this club. It has an easy and friendly course which is also one of the most scenic ones which this nation has to offer. Sandwiched between the Morne Mountain and the turquoise ocean, the view from the course is simply phenomenal. The club is situated towards the south-western part of the island and its rates (exclusive of discounts) are 20 euros/18 holes.

b. Els Golf Club: Owned by Four Seasons, this is another easy and scenic course which is a green heaven for a sports enthusiast. The course is situated just beside the Indian Ocean and the final hole virtually mingles with the water. You will have to shell out 98 pounds to enjoy a swing on this course. Alternatively, if you choose to stay in the associated resorts, then you can enjoy the sport for free.

c. Belle Mare Legends Golf Club: It is a primitive course, a miniscule one in size and an extremely panoramic one as such. It is no less popular amongst the enthusiasts, though you will have to take up lodging at Belle Mare Plage or at Le Prince Maurice to access the course. The guests at these places can enjoy free-of-cost games at the club. On the flipside, this club may not be suited to you if you are an amateur! Since, most holes are submerged in water bodies, only seasoned or experienced hands can extort some success out of a round of game.

If golf has always been your secret love and you wanted to play the game in lush surroundings, then you are invited to book your place in a professional club under Mauritius tourism packages.
