Sometimes you will be in a place that is very obviously beautiful to the majority of people. At other times you will not be in such a fortunate place that has overtly physical beauty. But it is possible to find beauty in everything, depending upon ones mindset.

What is beautiful to one person might not be beautiful to another, although there are many commonly held beliefs about beauty, which many accept, even it they do not totally agree with them. For example, when one sees a grove of redwood trees for the first time you are usually struck with their majestic height, their color and so on. Another person might not see these things that are so obvious to another, and simply shrug and say "they are just trees" but at the same time accept that other people are awed by their beauty.

The same thing can occur when judging in your own mind whether a person is beautiful or not. Beauty encompasses more than just what is on the outside. Most people will agree that real beauty comes from within.

How you perceive beauty and what you perceive as beautiful definitely comes from within. It all depends upon your perspective, your stored ideas, experience, knowledge and expectations. It depends upon what is going on in your mind at a given time and what you are focusing upon.

For example, even if you are in a place of revered beauty but at the same time you are feeling alone, or your mind is elsewhere, then you are unlikely to fully appreciate that beauty. To fully appreciate beauty you have to be focused in the moment and be on the lookout for things that are beautiful.

Beauty is inevitably interlinked with happiness. Happiness too is only felt when you can appreciate the moment that you are in. When you are happy things seem to be very much more beautiful. The two go hand in hand.

Very few people spend much of their time focused in the moment. Whenever your thoughts are about the past or the future you are not focused in the moment. Whenever your thoughts center upon something that is not in your immediate space you are not focused in the moment.

It can take time and attention to learn to focus in the moment, but the benefits are great, as you will feel happy and see more beauty. Hypnosis can help tremendously in this quest.
