Editorial Guidelines
The following guidelines are provided to give you as much information as is possible to help you understand what type of content we allow, and what we don't allow, into our article database. Please make sure you are familiar with our guidelines before submitting any content.
1) Your article must be original. We do not allow nor will we approve any content that has been or appears to be spun, or created by any automated tools. Your article cannot be PLR (Public Label Rights). In other words, the article you are submitting was written by yourself, or someone you have hired to write content on your behalf. It may not be an article that is made available to multiple people. It may not be part of an article pack commonly sold on many websites.
2) We do allow articles to be ghost written. If you hired someone to write content for you, and have hired that individual to submit the content to Articlez.com on your behalf, it must be submitted using one of your pen names.
3) Your article should be written for people, not search engines. Your article should not have excessive use of keywords. Your article should be informative and helpful to our readers. Your article should NOT be an advertisement for a product. Your article should not be a press release. Your content should be focused on helping the reader solve a problem. Include tips and methods to solve that problem. Do NOT quote content verbatim from other articles.
4) Your article must be written in English. The English must have correct grammar, spelling, & punctuation etc. If you are not proficient in English, Articlez.com offers a team of 100% American writers that can write excellent articles for you. If English is not your native language we strongly urge that you at least have a native English speaker review your work prior to submitting it to Articlez.com
5) We do not accept any content that could be considered adult in nature including, but not limited to pornography, or subjects that we deem to not be suitable to a general audience. We do not accept hateful content or content that advocates violence whether real or fictionally-oriented, We do not accept content that promotes intolerance against any ethnic group, race, class or nationality.
We do not accept any content that uses profanity. We do not accept content on subjects that may be considered illegal, such as promotion of controlled substances including but not limited to prescription drugs and any paraphernalia associated with those substances. We do not allow content that promotes guns, knives or any other weapon. We do not allow content that promotes any type of unsolicited bulk email marketing. It is acceptable to discuss double opt ins and auto responder usage provided the content is not a direct advertisement for any particular service. We do not accept content that may be considered slanderous or libelous towards others.
You may not use an email address either in the article body or the author bio.
You may not submit an article more than once. Simply changing a few words in the content or the title will not be allowed. Frequent violations of any of these rules may result in the termination of an account.
6) We do not accept content promoting pharmaceuticals of any kind. We do not accept content promoting prescription drugs, including but not limited to, Viagra, Generic Viagra, and other related prescription drugs.
7) The title of your article should have the first letter of each primary word in upper case. Examples of non-primary words are: 'is', 'the', 'it', 'and' etc.
Your article title cannot be in all caps.
Your article title should not contain excessive punctuation, IE; exclamation points.
You cannot use a name in your article title.
Your article title should not contain excessive repetition of a keyword.
Your article title should not exceed 100 characters.
You should try and write interesting and catchy titles that will make people who find your article want to read it.
8) Authors: Articlez.com allows you to create an unlimited number of pen names each with its own biography. This allows you to use different names for different niches and categories of content you wish to submit.
9) Article Body Content: Articlez.com requires a minimum of 350 words in the article body, though we highly recommend content that is 400 words or greater. Articles with more content tend to get higher page views.
Important Information Regarding Links in Your Article:
You are allowed to link up to two keyphrases or keywords in your article body. The links must be to a site that is either owned by you, or represents a site built by you or someone you have hired to build the site for you. Examples of third party sites that would be acceptable to link to from the article body are Squidoo, Hubpages, Blogger, Youtube etc.
Any site you link to should be related to the subject matter of your article content.
The links from within your article body will be DOFOLLOW links.
You may NOT link using an affiliate link such as a Clickbank hop link either from the article body or your author bio.
We do allow you to link to an affiliate link using one specific method. You may use a redirect as long as that redirect initiates at the root level of the domain you are linking to.
An example that would be allowed is, you link to http://www.domainz.com and that domain redirects to a Clickbank affiliate link.
An example that would not be allowed is, you link to http://www.domainz.com/page1.htm and that link redirects to a Clickbank affiliate link
If you place more than 2 links in the article body we will remove one or more of the links in your article body.Each link must be unique. You may not use the same link more than once in the article body.
Please refrain from linking more than 3 words in a phrase.
All links must be to sites that are fully functional, under construction sites are not permitted.
Formatting of Your Article:
You are allowed to format your article from within the Articlez.com article editor, but we strongly advise you to avoid using techniques such as excessive bolding of words or keywords.
We recommend using a minimum of 4 paragraphs.
We do not allow the use of any scripting code in the article body nor in the author bio.
Be careful if your articles have been written using MS Word as it adds a lot of code into your articles that you may or may not be aware of.
We reserve the right to reject or modify any content that is incorrectly formatted for use in the Articlez.com directory.
Your article body content must be single spaced.
Your first paragraph must be greater than one sentence in length and cannot be a headline.
Your article should not be word wrapped in a way that will result in hard line breaks.
10) Tags: Make sure you provide tags with each article. Tags help users find your content. Use commas between keyword tags.
11) Summary: Make sure you provide a well written summary that describes your article in 500 characters or less. The summaries are used to display your content on the front page of Articlez.com. It is acceptable to use the first paragraph of your article as the summary up to 500 characters.
12) Categories: Make sure you pick an appropriate category and sub category for your article topic.
13) No URL shorteners allowed in either content or resource boxes.
14) If you have any questions not covered here, please submit a support ticket and we will do our best to answer you in a timely manner.
15) All articles submitted to our directory are manually reviewed by our team of moderators. If you order article content from our team of writers, please make sure you provide them with sufficient instructions in order to be able to create a quality article for you that we can quickly approve. Articles submitted to our directory, that were written by our writing team are given priority review status.
